Animal Adoptions
An Animal Adoption not only makes a unique gift idea for yourself or someone special, but also makes a valuable contribution to the running costs of the Animal Ark. This includes food and vetrinary fees.
From as little as £15 you can support the Animal Ark on a level that is appropriate to you. You’ll receive a whole host of adoption benefits, including a colour photograph of your adopted animal, adoption certificate, regular updates on news and events and an opportunity to visit the centre and see your chosen animal. Season Tickets
Buy a season ticket and enjoy unlimited annual visits to the Animal Ark. When you join our membership scheme you get special discounts for family and friends too.
Come and see your favourite animals whenever you like. Bring the family to all or just some of our special event days and join in the fun. When you buy a season ticket you will also be making a valuble contribution to the work of the centre helping us to maintain our rare breed stock and look after all the animals including many natural habitats for wildlife. VOLUNTEERS AND YOUTH GROUPS
There are many opportunities for individuals, couples and groups to help
out at the Centre. The work revolves mainly around caring for the animals, helping the keeper with feeding and cleaning, grooming and maintenance. There's lots of opportunity to get close to the animals, under strict supervision, so if you love animals and the countryside and don't mind getting a bit dirty this is the job for you!
Between Easter to the end of September we have a program of talks and presentations
where volunteers can assist the trainers with holding animals during the sessions. We
would also like people to act as guides to help visitors get the most out of their
visit. Full training will be given.
If you are genuinely interested in becoming a volunteer and are willing to give up 1 day a fortnight (including some weekends) for 1 to 6 months of the year then please contact us either by email or a phone call to register your interest. Please note that this is restricted to 16yrs and over only.
For group volunteers we hold half day and whole day sessions March to June and September to October weekdays only. Group leaders please email or telephone 01603 872274 for more information and to register your interest.
